Our Queens
QUEENS PAGE LAST UPDATED - Sunday 30th Sept 2012
Our queens are so precious to us, they enable us to explore the wonderful side of the true nature of bengals. We are now moving into breeding the Snow Bengals - Seal Lynx Points, Seal Minks, and Seal Sepias and wish to develop the rosetting whilst retaining all the type that the other bengal colours have to offer, but with the sweetest temperaments too.
Please meet our exciting queens, Sky a seal lynx point, Cali a seal mink, our brown rosetted queen Kyra, and Shani another seal Lynx point queen, plus Lyra our US imported mink ! This new girl joined us in 2010 from the QueenAnne Bengal Cattery as our rosetted Seal Lynx Point queen. She has great type and a great US pedigree that we are just so thrilled to be able to work with, she also has the large rosettes that we have longed for, small ears, and short tail. Many thanks to Gaynor at QueenAnne Bengals for allowing this beautiful little star to come to us :-)

This sweet typey brown rosetted girl arrived in April 2011 from the Tarantela cattery. She has such promise with her wild type, great head, straight profile, lovely rosettes and sweet nature. She is a carrier of the seal mink/sepia gene, and will produce mink babies, & brown babies carrying lynx, when she is put to our lynx point boys - so exciting !!! So we have high hopes for her and would like to thank Karen Hodson for entrusting her to us.

Introducing - 'CH Bengaland OpalDonut of Authenticats' (US Import)
"Lyra"
This beautiful and stunning mink girl by 2009 3rd Best Bengal International Junglemist Creme Donut of Bengaland, joined us in July 2010, to help begin our new snow line from strong American pedigrees - many thanks go out to Peggy and Hugh Price from Bengaland, for hand-picking this precious beauty for us. Lyra is stunning and with her unique and exclusive USA pedigree, she will be a welcome addition to the bengal breeding programme here in the UK.
Her pedigree is just amazing, and she is so full of type with a beautiful coat texture, colour and pattern. We can't wait to see how her kittens grow up and do on the show bench.
Also we'd like to send special thanks to kind Sue and Chuck Hickes, for their love and devotion whilst they took care of Lyra for us, as we waited for her quarantine time to pass, and to Winnie at Acute Bengals too for taking her to their stud boy - we just can't thank you all enough for making this happen for us.xxx
So Lyra's naming is complex but we think its interesting to share - her name includes the word 'Donut' because of her ring donut rosettes and especially because her father is the very successful 'Junglemist Creme Donut of Bengaland'. So we took his name forward with a precious jewel too, an 'Opal', which is of similar colour to her aqua green eyes - and so we called her 'OpalDonut' - and we linked that to the sky at night - and so she was named 'Lyra' after a constellation that has an Opal coloured Donut ring nebula !
